Have you ever wondered "Is there a quicker way of doing this"?
Sure there is. Do you want to reach numbers from your Contacts with one keystroke? Would you like to quickly turn Silent or Vibrate on? Here are the very shortcuts that make the phone quick and easy to use.

Access your complete Call List
Simply tap the YES key to view the last dialed, received or missed calls instantly. Select YES again when the number is highlighted to call. Hint: the sybol infront of the number indicates whether is was an incoming or outgoing call. |
Silent Call with Vibrate option
Just press and hold the C key to activate the Silent option. Select YES to turn on or off. Hint: If you have selected Vibrate when silent in your Sounds & Alarms menu, then it will activate the vibrate function automatically.

One button access to your Contacts
If you want to quickly call Tina, just press the button with a T. All of the keys, 2-9 have alphabetic characters. Press any key representing the letter for instant access to your Contact list. |
Search Contacts
Search your Contacts for a Name by pressing the right Menu > key. Simply enter a full name or a few characters.

Quickly Change your Profile
Simply change your profile from Normal to Meeting by pressing the left < Menu key. Hint: This is actually a shortcut to the first item in your Shortcuts Menu. |
Text Message Input
Have you ever been typing a Text Message and the T9 Dictionary does not recognize the word you intended to type? Try pressing and holding the Asterisk key and it will switch almost instantly to English type mode. Now you can spell any word by tapping once twice or three times on the corresponding key.
Hint: a quick tap on the Asterisk key will become a Caps Lock for upper and lower case characters.

Change the word while typing text
Have you typed the wrong word? Press the 0 + key to choose possible words from the T9 Dictionary.
Hint: The + key also represents an International dialing symbol for dialing out of the continental US. |
Insert Symbols or Objects into your text
Press and hold the pound key when entering text in order to add a symbol or object. Add smiley faces or melodies (Ringtones) to any text message. Send pictures (EMS) others as a greeting card.

Voice Mail Setup
Ever wonder why you can't reach your voicemail box with the 1 key? Setup your voicemail number with either your default +1(area code)(prefix)1234 to quickly access your voice mail.
Hint: If you have Mobile to Mobile Free Service, set your default voicemail number to your mobile number and it will be charged as a Mobile Free call.
Hint 2: you can store pauses and passwords too! |
Status Indicator or Volume Key
Slide the side volume key down and view the Status Indicator. Time, Date, and the Real Time Battery Gauge is shown.
